A House

It is well understood that in the scientific community, no man nor woman, can factually argue the consciousness of a simple man made construction. There is not, and has never been, evidence to support the idea of sentience within the structure of cars, telephones, and watches. Sentience, with it's abundance of roses, playing children, and laughing mothers, was a house. The house, an inanimate object created by man, lived alone. This house, not a home, was a place of solitude; holding secrets within it's walls, and silence between it's rooms. Not a creature stirred, a mouse, or rat, within the halls of the Airey house.
