Dylan Harper was raised to hate and fear mutants. Her parents taught her from a young age that mutants threatened the human way of life. So, to say she was surprised when her powers manifested at the age of fifteen was an understatement. Sure, she knew one person who carried the X-gene, but nobody in her family did. Confused and scared, Dylan ran away from home. She was on the run for years when a strange woman approached her with a daunting task.
