The story is about a girl ,Mandisa, who silently suffered from depression after witnessing her father being killed when she was 15 years old , she later faces many challenges , having a mother who is not emotionally supportive , she chooses the wrong path iin life that will lead her to make many mistakes . The characters of the book are black people (south africans) , the plot of the story is South Africa , In Soweto , Orlando , a well known township .
