A 13 year old girl named Astala (pronounced As-stal-a) has a pet axolotl named Mossy her smiley pet gets taken away for experimentation as they take Mossy away but Astala hides in the back of there van determined not to be parted from Mossy as they drive away to there secret base Hydra was looking for someone who they could hybrid with a axolotl and were working with the same people who took Mossy away
