Hope McCall was adopted 17 years ago by the McCall family, taking their last name. Rafael and Melissa agreed not to tell Hope or Scott that she is adopted, so they kept it a secret for 17 years. Accidentally, Hope used alot of her powers to help fight the Wild Hunt, revealing her location to enemies that want to hurt her.
