(Happens when spike is about 17 in Dragon years not human years)

Spike has always had a crush on Rarity, but one day she gets engaged to Prince Blueblood. Spike is heartbroken, and tries to run from his problems, but runs into Smolder instead. She helps him get over his heartbreak, but during that time the two dragons develops feelings for eachother.
