Moving across the country, means leaving her brother and the woman that pieced her and her brother back together, behind. Her and her service dog move into an apartment with a roommate. Her apartment just happens to be next to the town's player. They also not so coincidently go to the same college. They are forced to be partners in Spanish, for the entire year. Most of the time she finds him annoying, but the other times she gets a glimpse of who he is under the player façade. She's been through more pain and suffering than most people do in a life time, she finally got back to being almost normal.
