I chose silence over trying to explain something I knew would be hard for you to understand. I chose silence even though I had practised the arguments and the conversations in my head. I chose to hide my emotions instead of throbbing with anger and later regret my actions. And because I chose silence, these words are everything I tried to say but never said. They are words exchanged during early 3am and late 5 pm through stares, pain, tears, heartbreaks and frowns. These are my silent words.
