Description
This is a post adaptation or fanfiction of the stirring emotional drama "Dear Frankie." A brief synopsis of the movie below. Frankie is deaf, but it doesn't inhibit him as much as his mother and grandmother. He is a young adolescent boy moved from one place in Scotland to the other. They all have hidden for so long, from Davey, Lizzie's drunken and abusive husband. Lizzie and Frankie want security and a place they can call home. A new start in Glasgow may make the difference. Davey's real person and whereabouts are hidden from Frankie. Instead of his father's presence in his life Lizzie builds a false relationship through letters from her, representing his father. The fictitious father is supposedly away on constant sea voyages and she feels this brings stablity into Frankie's life until.... The pretend freighter Lizzie made up, just happens to be real and coming to dock in Glasgow. What she does next to find a solution to her problem makes her mother think she is crazy. Unknown by Lizzie she solicits a friend's brother to help her with an out of the way meeting to represent Frankie's father in proxy. The Stranger now becomes Frankie's surroget father for two days. The fanfiction takes place after Frankie finds out the truth and writes the Stranger a letter of his own.
