"So everything that has happened to me? All of the horrible things I have endured, have been because I'm one man's greedy desire?" I crossed my arms, and tilted my head to one side, Lucian grew cautious as he held a small tone with me. "That is correct," he winced and reached to wrap me in his crushing arms, and with a willing sigh, I let him. "I'm sorry." "What the hell am I supposed to do?" I ran a hand through my hair, tapping my foot against the floor as I stared at the reflection of the large classroom. "Avery, listen to me. Whatever you choose, I will be there to help you." The vampire I've taken such an interest in smiles, his fangs hidden sharply underneath his otherwise false teeth. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ With a group of friends, they travel together for a night in the city- only to have things change from good to worse. Avery Hamil ends up separated from the group, and lost. She ends up getting back to her college, by the aid of a stranger- with dark eyes and porcelain skin, who can't help but warn her about the dangers that lurk in the night. She shrugs it off, already understanding with the open assumption that vampires and humans mingle in one knit pack. Avery didn't expect her college year to be such an adrenaline rush. She managed to take a few Liberal Arts classes, a Mythology class, and an English and Creative Writing course, while she juggled a steady boyfriend. The man she spent a somber night and a beer with, is now her teaching assistant with heavy secrets. She manages to start her year off with grace, and a fighting smile. Until, she captures the interest of not one, but two bloodthirsty vampires and her life is never the same. She learns things about herself that without the introduction into the vampire world, she never would have known- including love with the undead.
