Now on Morfilinik, Skyler Dayze must now act as a Morfilian- easier said than done. With her mother by her side, Skyler is made to live in the manor of the King. Jace, the First General, attempts to ease the time and pressures put upon Skyler without giving away his feelings for her- or jeopardize his high standing in the society and hierarchal structure of the social classes. Skyler and her mother hold the rare ability to Shift; the king is sniffing about for the whispered rumors of a female Morfilan who has the same ability as he. In a situation of tug of war in the Court and Council's power, Skyler must try to blend and not blow her and her mother's identities-or else they'll both be killed.
