Chapter One

It was simple. All she had to do was sit, interview, and make notes. That’s why her boss left her in charge. Nothing could go wrong. But when the last interviewee stumbled into the office at the end of the day, Aubrey Martina found herself in a challenging position that she just couldn’t give up. Tired of people (mainly one particular person who gets under her skin) thinking she was incapable of doing her job, she made a decision that would prove just how good at it she really was. And because of her actions in the spur of the moment, she’s now stuck wondering what in the hell she’s gotten herself into.
