" Cause we're friends, and friends care for each other," he said smiling.
" were friends?" He barely knew me, and he was already calling me his friend.
" Yeah, if you want... " he blushed and looked away.
" I'd love too! " I said a little too loudly.
He chuckled. " okay, well I'll see you tomorrow...friend." he turned around and hopped into his mom's van. Before they pulled off he waved goodbye. And I waved back.
Friends. It was such a simple word. but why did it make me so happy?
