Aurora Matthews is the daughter of Eric Matthew and Rachel McGuire. It happened unexpectedly. Eric and Rachel met each other at a cafe after not seeing each other due to Rachel and Jack Hunter being together. Rachel told Eric that she and Jack broke up which surprised him. Eric still has feelings for Rachel and Rachel always thought that Eric is adorable. They got together, and their relationship was a secret. Not even Eric's younger brother, Cory Matthews knew about Eric and Rachel being a couple. During their time together, Eric and Rachel found out that they are expecting a baby. They were thrilled, and nine months later, something terrible happened. Rachel passed away giving birth to a beautiful baby girl which Rachel named Aurora because it's Eric's favorite Disney Princess. Scared that Eric would be a terrible father to his daughter, Eric goes to Cory for help since his younger brother is now a father to a baby girl named Riley Matthews. Cory is shocked that he is now an Uncle, but he is happy to help his older brother raise Aurora Matthews.
