"I lied when I told ya' I wasn't 'fraid of nuthin." His voice was low and gravelly like always as he leaned against the pillar on the porch.

"What are you afraid of?" I whispered to Daryl in the stillness of the night. I rocked the porch swing back and forth lazily, my gaze fixated on him as the moon illuminated his pool of deep blue eyes.

"'I'm 'fraid of losin' ya', Red."
