Jungkook is fighting Seokjin over something while Jimin laughs hysterically. It sounds like Hoseok is recording while Taehyung is already on the floor with tears in his eyes. Their obnoxious laughs sound like hyena howls, and as much as he loves them, this really isn't what he needs right now.

He tries to block them out more, and it gets much easier when Namjoon sets his warm hand on the middle of his thigh, right below where his elbow rests. It's a gentle and tender gesture, meant to make him feel more relaxed and at ease. He knows this, and yet his heart hurls itself to the top of his throat and he stops breathing for a second.
