I rubbed my hands over my goose-bumped arms, shivering in the cool, night air. "You're cold." I wanted to roll my eyes, scream at him even, but I just simply sighed and looked up to the night sky that was full of shining, bright stars. Salty tears gathered in my eyes as I made out all the constellations my grandmother and I used to stargaze for, and my heart ached with the thought of never being able to see her again. I looked over to find him staring deeply into my eyes, his face completely void of any emotion. "Please, just take me back home. I promise not to tell anyone, please," I begged tiredly, trying to hold back my tears. I was done with him and his nonsense. I was done with everything. He was inches from my face in seconds, pulling me tightly to his broad chest and encasing me in his strong arms.
