A person with a broken heart should be cared for and is not something to play around with. Rules change in the ocean, heartbroken people are what sirens strive for. Most of the time it doesn't matter because at one point, they were heart broken. The gods above must've took a pity on us. Our painful feelings leave us, creating a clueless monster with no pain. The poor siren has no memory of their past life except for a certain hobby. It's not the worst thing; sirens get another try when they find another heartbroken fellow.
