Suppose the Rebellion hadn't quite gone to plan? Katniss Everdeen has been all but erased from history. The names Mellark and Hawthorne are going unnoticed by the children of Panem. The Capitol, now in the hands of a new President, is more powerful than ever and the Hunger Games continue. Lilia Brooks does not deny the Capitol. She's watched her best friend die and looked on as no one cared, so what point is there in trying to rebel? So when she's Reaped for the 93rd Hunger Games, she doesn't realise that her growing strength might just be the thing that will cost her dearly. Life is a game. It's just a question of who knows the rules.
