Heads Up!

I was, metaphorically, a diver. I dove into you knowing I'd drown. I dove into you knowing I was going to struggle breathing. I dove into you knowing I'd fail in reaching the surface. I dove into you knowing I was going to die.

You were everything I didn't wish for. Yet, my heart and soul yearned for every breathing moment to be with you. I knew from the start you'd destroy me. You'd wreck me to the point of knowing I'd be left with nothing but debris of our love.

But you never expected me to wreck you. You clung onto me with every hope you have. Was I the one in danger? Or was it you all along, blinded by the innocence my pure heart gave you?
