Here i am but why

A abused, broken, lonely girl just immigrated to America; finds a mysterious boy in a corner of a church she visits. She has a compelling feeling to talk he hug him but is scared he will make fun of her for her accent. Then he starts getting picked on and seems shy himself: will she stand up for him, or leave him? Will they become friends? Will they ever see each other ever again?
