Trouble at the Lab

A kid named Gold finds his way into Team Rocket's main base and finds a special quilava and frees it and even befriends it. Little did he know things would turn for the worse. He loses almost everything and dies trying to save what he had left. This left his quilava friend devastated. She did manage to bring Gold back but it changed him in the process. Now Gold must adjust to his new life and deal with all that is thrown at him. How will this affect all that is left in his life?
