It's prom night and Dan is being forced to go by his best friend Louise. At the dance he runs into a boy named Phil who he's had a crush on for quite a while and only Louise knows about it. Louise lets it slip with Phil's best friend PJ and the two try and get Dan and Phil to confess their feelings for eachother
