in this world, everyone has the same mark engraved on their wrist; half of a heart. when you meet your soulmate, the heart is completed. it's a fancy system, and everyone is happy with it- except me, Eren, the glitch.

i don't have the mark. not a WORKING mark, anyways. i had to get mine tattooed on me in secret, i was never born with one. i'm just a glitch, and nobody knows apart from my family. a glitch like me will never fit in, that's just how it goes.
