Annie Abrams was put in the Drop Ship for a crime she certainly was guilty of committing. She didn't regret it though, she was doing what she had to do, and the people of the Ark were going to make her pay for it.

The Ark is dying. And the only hope is for them to send 100 delinquents down on to the radiation smothered Earth.

Just as Annie expected for her life to end, she was given another chance on Earth, and she was planning on using that chance to its fullest extent, she was going to really live for the first time in her life. That included surviving with near impossible chances, making difficult decisions, and maybe even falling in love.
