'Released'

This is from a compilation of my short stories.

'Rising Damp', which is dedicated to my sibling Colin.
His demise in his story is a fictional reflection of the guilt I feel for not spending enough time with him and my other siblings.
The story interweaves a father in the past and his daughter in the present and the two timelines are linked by the spirit of the father's deceased sibling to release him from purgatory.
