Ashé "Ché" Sankofa Pembrooke is longing for something more than a life spent in her quiet apartment in the slowly gentrifying city of Brooklyn, New York. Being 22 years old and a naturopathic healer opened doors to only so many adventures. She needed a push out of the birds nest, and she finally gets one when her best friend tries to make sparks fly with unwanted advances. Realizing she can no longer cling to him for the sake of her livelihood, she ventures off to meet new people and places.

When life gives her lemons, she attempts to find some better fruit instead.
