"But please...don't tell anyone, okay?"

"Don't tell them that you're lonely...?" I guessed. I didn't want to keep reading their minds if it was that unusual. It was a good thing that I could just read their minds if I wanted to.

"Yes," he breathed out.

"Why?"

He was about to say something but I sensed that he gave up on his reasoning when he said, "...Because it's true, Zara. I'm lonely."
