Melissa Benson (Mariska Hargitay) has her biggest case yet. A former FBI agent has been hunted down and put on the FBI's most wanted list because of terrorist attacks she caused.

Melissa has been charged to bring the agent in for justice, unaware that the agent's defense attorney is none other than Alan Shore (James Spader) from Crane, Poole, and Schmidt.

But what happens when Alan Shore's brilliant and tricky daughter, Alison(Alexandra Daddario), is mysteriously taken before the next trial takes place? Will Alan trust the prosecutor to help him find his daughter?
