Prologue

"Death comes on swift wings to those who hesitate." That was what Jaylen's father had always told her during her training. Now his death sends her on a quest to unveil the true reason for her family's death. Following a path to the heart of her country, Jaylen will find herself uncovering much more than what she was looking for- a dark plot that destroys human life to create a much darker form of living. Accompanied with nothing more than a drunken sorcerer, her father's sword, and a trouble-seeking bard, she must travel to find a myth becoming reality and slay the last immortal. Only then could she chance at recovering what she has lost and step from her shadowy past to her future.
