Behind the Glasses

People only see what they are prepared to see. Maybe, if we all took a step back and look at things through another lens, society would be different.

She is a beautiful girl. From the outside looking in, her life is perfect for her. On the inside, however, things are different.
She has always been a shy girl. No one knows what happened, not even her closest friends. A book nerd, working in the local bookstore in Maine seems so perfect, but with a rough past, she has to find reasons to smile.
