Chapter One: Short Story

Maddie Chandler is not your average 15-year-old. She practically lives for her drama class and has a freakish obsession with books as well as helping out at the local senior center. She's never believed in the paranormal, always using her own logic to back up her thoughts. But when she finds a small wooden box in an abandoned ally, she finds that everything isn't always what it seems and that she may finally believe in the paranormal.
