Prologue

"You said you love me." Mark whispers against my mouth, his hands firmly around my waist.

"Did I?"

"Reva."
I sigh. "I do. I do love you Mr. Shepherd."
"Good."
"Good? You are not going to tell me you love me too?" I ask smiling.

"Nope." He says.

"Then I'm leaving." I joke.
"You are going nowhere Reva Anderson. I love you. God, I love you."

He bends and takes my lips again.
"I love the way you called me baby the other night when you were jealous, maybe we should make it our thing. Baby?"

"Oh shut up Mark."
