Alexis was another of Yondu's long lost children of space, she grew up alongside the Ravagers and Peter Quill. Alexis never knew how she got to space or what her last name even was.

Alexis was one of Yondu's finest Ravagers. So when Peter turned his back on Yondu after not bringing him back the Orb, Yondu sent Alexis to retrieve him and the orb.
