To everyone who knows him, River Phoenix has always been that guy: the cocky, popular, and way-too-handsome-for-his-own-good. But while he may be Big Man in town,on the inside he's just wants everything to go away.

Ellamara hates life, she always gets hate and racism because she's black. The only person she can herself around is River. One night the KKK kills her parents, and that turns her neighbor into a war zone. Whites and Blacks start fighting.

Ellamara and River are trying to keep their friendship alive, but how can they when there's so much pain between them.
