Lockers and Insults

"You know you don't have to hang out with me." I mumbled, resting my chin against my arms. She gave me a chuckle and looked straight at me.
"But what if I want too?" She asked. Embarrassingly I pushed myself away from the edge and floated on my back.
"Well, you want to?" I asked quietly. She just gave a snort of laughter and smiled warmly.
"Of course I do."
