Mia knew a lot about the world. And you know what? She liked it that way. She’d rather know the harsh truth than be deceived into comfort. She didn't need people trying to convince her to believe lies. Santa Claus, The Tooth Fairy, Unicorns, Leprechauns- they all didn't exist. But then again, most people learned that at one point or another. Still, there was one lie that seemingly everybody refused to open their eyes to. Well, Mia knew the truth at least. Love only existed in movies. It was nothing more than an exaggerated word the people deluded themselves with. And that delusion only ever ends in someone getting hurt. Yes, at 17 years old, Mia had a very good grasp on what was and wasn’t real. However, she begins to lose her grip when a certain green-eyed boy enters her life, opening doors to unsuspected sensations and vulnerability that she isn't prepared to fight off. Mia is forced to reconsider everything she's ever known and face her past as her solid world of certainty starts to collapse in on her.
