Prologue

"Are you gonna keep him? Jen you're 17 and a freshman in college." It's true, where my birthday falls, I'll turn 18 in about a month, it's August now. "I can't let him go uncared for. Even though my life will probably never be the same again, I need to keep him" I say, walking back into the apartment. She nods, "well, then he needs a name."

I chose the name I'd had in mind since I was 10. The one I always wanted to name my future son.

"Jax. His name is Jax."
