Why is it, that whenever you get a crush on someone, you can't tell whether they're
crushin' on you?

In Lilac Reynolds' case, she couldn't tell that her bad boy, best friend of thirteen years did in fact, like her back.

In Carter Blacks' case, he was so in love with his best friend that he didn't want them to ever be apart, even if that meant suppressing his feelings for her.
