Description
Lara Anderson has kept her origin a secret from everyone, and no one knows what she is. That's the way she likes it. For a long time she has been greatly atoning for a past that she is ashamed of. Her heritage is not something she is particularly proud of. Lara takes in preternaturals that need a helping hand, or those that are being hunted for all the wrong reasons. Everyone knows better then to try to go up against her and her staff at her billiard hall. It is for that reason an old friend asks a favor of her. Hide the daughter of a murdered councilman that is herself being hunted to be protected. Lara agrees to help. Her friend's son, Benedict "Ben", his people, and the daughter of the councilman are moved into Lara's apartments above the billiard hall. Though to her surprise, she quickly discovers that Ben and her are destined to be.
