Chapter 1

Kate is the daughter of a Mercenary, when she leaves her home in West Gate she finds herself in Ergastulum. There she's attacked by some guy in an alley, and because of her 'bad luck' she finds herself rooming with the Handymen. Worrick is interested in the fact that they're from the same area and ended up in the same run down town. Nicolas just finds her peculiar because she acts as though she doesn't notice his tags. Alex feels comfortable and feels as though she's finally met a lifelong group of friends. Will Kate reveal what happened to her family? Will Kate explain why she left West Gate? Will she find love in a crime filled area like Ergastulum?
