For years I did nothing but wait for this moment. Humanity has dived into madness there is no hope for them. For years I have waited and now it is near. It was then that I realise that my role was to save, I am the last hope for mankind and I have failed them. Thirty years I have waited, thirty years...... those years weren't even long enough.

I close my eyes, thinking if all the pain and madness was worth it, feeling the dull throbbing that always clinched to my wrist, feeling it now coursing through the whole of my body, it was slowly driving me crazy. I open them, it is not.

I am not giving up, many would suffer if I did. But then again, this is not my responsibility to do so. But I should, I must keep going. Only, there's this voice that always whispered things that kept on stopping me, a voice that states something that I don't want myself to admit: "you are afraid."
