Kai-- It's hard to believe that a singular event can shape the rest of a person's life. Forever. It's even harder to believe that something like that happened to me. And the fact that I dragged my best friend into the situation just makes it that much worse. My name is Kai Morgan. I'm a 16 year old girl. And I will be for the rest of my life. At least I'm not alone. Ela-- I've been best friends with Kai for 8 years. I've been through so much with her. But I never thought I would get stuck in something like this with her. I'm Eleanor Heart. I am sixteen years old, and I'm not sure if that will ever change again. Because, being bestfriends with someone like Kai, you never know what's going to happen. There's no way anyone could have anticipated this. But these two girls have to figure out how to deal with it. Or they might not survive in a world they just discovered exists.
