Cassie Sullivan is a witch in a world where the middle realm is broken into five districts - that of the witches (Mystica), the fae (Fairy), the elves (Ishon Talore), the shifters (Uvrush), and the halfbreeds, those who don't fit anywhere else (Downwind). Working as a cop during the day and a PI at night to pay the bills, she takes on jobs no one else can do - jobs that involve traveling to the lower demon realms.
