Chapter 1

She began to fear every sound since she had met him. With every step she looked over her shoulder. Fear of him kept her wary. Trying to run from the nightmare he put her through was all that mattered, but the pain of being away from half of your soul was almost as unbearable as the fear motivating her.
Diana had been without love for a very long time, and it doesn't seem like that's going to change. With the constant cruelities of her life, and only more to come, all that matters is escape. Escape by any means necessary. Life is rarely fair. Life on the run is even worse.
