Samuel Royster is a man with a heart of gold, sweeter than sugar and a self-depreciating, closeted gay, wreck. But he loves to help people whenever he can, which is a bonus when you're the proud owner of a homeless shelter. From past and present experiences, Sam finds it difficult to open up and show others the real him. His father treats him like an overworked donkey. His brother is not much better. They say everything happens for a reason, so when a homeless man who's communication skills are lacking walks into his life... Everything changes, things begin slotting into place... but for how long?
