Adam end up in the right line, while his family end up in the left line. He hope he will return with them again and refuse to give up. But then it turns out that they were killed. Adam tries to take his life, but a man stop him. He offer him a house to sleep and a lovely dinner. He accept it and well there he's brutally raped and left to die. After weeks of starvation and forced labor, he goes to the gas chamber because life isn't worth living anymore. 68 years later he starts a school in London. He meet Tommy and they fall in love.
