We Were Friends.

❝You're my best friend.❞

The chuckle that escaped from his lips stung as he shook his head in disbelief. "If I was your best friend," he paused, "then why didn't you keep in touch with me? Why didn't you call me? Why didn't you message me? Why did you just leave me, like I was nothing?" He sighed angrily, "and most importantly, why did you push me away when we both needed each other the most."

A story of two formerly close friends who now are anything but a shell of the past friendship. Both, struggling to come to terms with their emotions.
