Linda lives with her mate and the twin's. They live in a small town, having had to move there because the humans were becoming suspicious of what they are. She does the best she can to protect the townspeople, but they reject her, mostly. When one puts her in the hospital all bets are off. Linda's heart bleeds for them, but she can no longer protect them.
All she ever wanted was a mate to love her and to love him, but her mate beats her just as badly as the townspeople did.
