A Family Visit

The Christian family of detectives the Joneses travel to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany to pay a visit to Charlotte Jones' family (David Jones's in-laws and Rodney's other grandparents he never knew), the family of bakers and toy makers to spend a whole white Christmas together. That night, they met a young weak girl named Ginger who had been running away from her captor, a toy worker from a Klaus Blacksmith whose family was once competitive rivals to Charlotte's family. To calm her down, the Joneses decided to show her the true meaning of Christmas when a gingerbread elf came out of nowhere and befriended Ginger, Rodney, and the dog Astrid to help the family evade the Blacksmiths' sabotaging scheme.
